Mark Stuart-Wood
Mark began his foray into entertainment as a break-dancer in the eighties, he soon realised the delight in performing and joined a local amateur dramatics group, this spurred him on to become a professional actor. He won a place at the Arden school of theatre and trained for three years.
Mark has performed at countless theatres up and down the country.
His theatre credits include:–
Jesus in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', Joseph in 'Joseph and his amazing Technicolor Dream Coat', the cowardly lion in the 'Wizard of Oz' at the fabulous millennium theatre Cardiff, the Genie in 'The Magic Book' at Sheffield crucible theatre, Danny Gilmartin in 'Calamity Jane' at the Hereford courtyard theatre, Professor Hardup at the Grange theatre Northwich. He was also guest vocalist at the renowned city varieties Leeds in the good old days alongside Milandra Burrows of 'Emmerdale' fame. Mark had the great pleasure of duetting with Richard Fleeshman at the Palace theatre in 'A Night of Stars'.
Mark's television and film work includes playing the role of George the Fourth for the History Channel in a series entitled 'The Private Lives of the Kings and Queens of England', and you may have seen Mark appear on Shane Richies 'Don’t forget the Lyrics' on Sky One. Mark has also worked on various cruise liners and corporate events.
This year sees Mark take on the role of 'Dame Dumpling' in panto alongside Channel Four 'Coach Trip's Brendan Sheerin and Boyzone's Shane Lynch at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre.
